Renaissance Food Group is recalling certain products containing vegetables after the firm received positive test results for Listeria monocytogenes in a finished product. All products manufactured with the same components are being recalled.
The Food and Drug Administration classification date was Oct. 6, but the recall was initiated on Sept. 12 and is ongoing. The products were shipped to Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
If consumers have any of the recalled products, they should dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase.
About Listeria infections
Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still cause serious and sometimes life-threatening infections. Anyone who has developed symptoms of Listeria infection should seek medical treatment and tell their doctors about the possible Listeria exposure.
