McVities Digestives to sponsor Italian football giants AC Milan

Core Tip: United Biscuits International has reached a sponsorship deal with Italian football giants AC Milan to promote its McVities Digestives biscuit brand.
AC Milan is a football team based in the fashion capital of the world with a host of high earning foreign players, while McVities Digestives is a wheat based biscuit free from hydrogenated vegetable oil.


McVitie’s Digestives becomes AC Milan’s “Official Partner“, effective from the beginning of July 2012.

 Luca Alessandri, Country Manager for United Biscuits Italy, said: “McVitie’s Digestives’ sponsorship of AC Milan is very exciting for us. AC Milan is the Italian team boasting millions of supporters all around the world, above all in China, Brazil, United States and Middle East.

“Italy is a huge market for McVitie’s Digestives, with 8.3 million packs sold in 2011 alone,” he continued

United Biscuits manufactures its Digestives outside of Italy and distributes in Italy through Ferrero.

The sponsorship deal will run will run until 30 June 2013.
