The company will launch Valio Onni porridges and gruels and Valio Tuuti infant formula and weaning formula. These will be manufactured at the company's plant in Turenki, Finland.
Valio Fresh Food senior vice president Sami Nupponen said that Valio has developed technology that enables it to produce baby foods from fresh Finnish milk so that it can offer Finns the opportunity to enjoy domestic ingredients and baby foods made in Finland.
Valio's Onni porridges range include both milk-based and non-milk selections. The milk-based porridges contain no added sugar while the non-milk porridges are lightly sweetened with fructose, reported Foodingredientsfirst.com.
In addition, Valio Tuuti 1 infant formula and Valio Tuuti 2 weaning formula are made from fresh Finnish milk, the company said.
Currently, the company is launching its baby food products only in Finland, and is considering the roll-out in the international markets.
