Other fisheries to gain the IFFO RS certification include Peruvian Anchovy and Alaskan Pollock.
“This is another major milestone achieved in a very short time since the launch of the RS Standard by IFFO,” said Andrew Jackson, IFFO technical director.
To be certified under its Global Standard for Responsible Supply (IFFO RS), fishmeal and fish oil factories must demonstrate sourcing from well managed fisheries and safe and traceable production.
