Core Tip: US-based asset management firm Coridel Capital has completed the sale of its portfolio company Mid South Packaging - a specialty corrugated packaging manufacturer, to RockTenn.
Mid South has operations in Cullman, Alabama, and Olive Branch, Mississippi.

It has three primary segments - the ComboPAC Food Group, which supplies bulk boxes to the poultry and meat industries; and the Retail Design Group, which provides corrugated packaging and retail displays to consumer packaged goods companies; and AutoLogic, which supplies specialized packaging to the automotive parts industry.

RockTenn chairman and CEO James A Rubright said the acquisition of Mid South is in keeping with the company's strategy to seek acquisitions that increase our integration level.

"Adding Mid South's unique customers to RockTenn's already diversified customer base further strengthens our market reach," Rubright added.

RockTenn is manufacturer of corrugated and consumer packaging and recycling solutions. The company operates locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Argentina and China.
