Core Tip: India is set to open an INR1.5bn ($26.78m) integrated food park in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, which has been built under the union food processing ministry scheme.
Srini Food Park, which is one of India's largest integrated food parks, has been established through the involvement of the ministry of food processing industries, reported the Deccan Chronicle.

Srini Food Park chairman DK Audikesavulu Naidu said the park will offer infrastructure and state-of-art facilities designed to match the global standards.

"The food park will be one stop shop for fresh fruits, vegetables, fruit pulps of mango, guava, papaya and tomato, IQF fruits and vegetables and mixed fruit and vegetable products," Naidu added.

Mr Naidu further said that the industrial unit at Mogili will create over 2,000 local jobs for the youth and would immediately cater to the requirements of the horticulturalists of Chittoor district and the neighbouring districts in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

The new park is expected to create more 2,000 local jobs and address the requirements of horticulturists in Chittoor, as well as the neighbouring areas.
