The TweetChat is part of the Agency’s Play it Safe campaign, which is raising awareness of the importance of food hygiene and food safety in the run-up and during the London 2012 Games. Food businesses will have an opportunity to ask questions that will enable them to deal with real issues.
The questions will be answered by Sarah Appleby, the Agency’s Head of Local Authority Enforcement. She said: ‘This live TweetChat is a first for the FSA, and a great way for food businesses to talk to us directly about the things that might affect them during the Games. Many food outlets will have to adapt their usual systems to cope with the influx of visitors, but food safety should always remain a top priority.'
The TweetChat will take place tomorrow, Friday 13 July, from 3pm to 4pm, on the Play it Safe campaign Twitter feed @playitsafefood. Questions can be tweeted in live or sent in beforehand.
