Core Tip: Following the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the US, Colombia can now export increasing amounts of tilapia fillets to the country.
According to information gathered by the governemnt agency Dian, although most domestic products performed well in the entry to the US market, the most important is in the growth of products that previously had no significant presence in the market.

According to the figures, besides the traditional exports of hydrocarbons in the last two months, Colombia is demanding greater volumes of tilapia fillet, chocolates, candies, candy, doors, windows, books, pamphlets , molds for glass and cast glass plates, as well as parts of aircraft and helicopters.

Frozen tilapia fillet exports have jumped from zero in early May, to 5.2 million in the last two months.
