Core Tip: Italian foodservice operator Cremonini has acquired Bagel Factory – a leading bagel baker in UK and Ireland, operating more than 50 stores and franchise units.
Bagel Factory has outlets in several major transport hubs in the UK, such as Waterloo, London Bridge, Marylebone, Paddington and Euston.

The company, which put up for sale in November 2011, was advised by leisure investment adviser Coffer Corporate Leisure, reported Bakeryinfo.co.uk.

Coffer Corporate Leisure managing director Mark Sheehan said that several interested parties, from the UK, as well as a number in Europe showed interest in acquiring the company during the sale process.

"Cremonini Group is one of the biggest players in the European food industry and its strong links with on-board train catering, railway stations, motorway and commercial catering, means it is perfectly positioned to grow Bagel Factory further," Sheehan added.
