Core Tip: A Utah meat packer has recalled nearly 38,200lbs of minced beef after it was suspected of being contaminated by E.coli.
The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) confirmed that Dale T Smith and Sons Meat Packing had recalled the shipments of boneless beef and boxes of primal cuts, subprimal cuts and boxed beef after a refrigeration malfunction raised fears of cross-contamination.

The meat was destined for further processing after being distributed to wholesale and retailers in California and Salt Lake City, but FSIS confirmed there has been no reported illnesses.
