Roast Coffee & Tea Trading, a coffee micro-roaster, purveyor of teas and a cozy café, has unveiled a website which allows customers to explore their batch of roasted coffee online.
The website allows consumers to find out precisely where their coffee came from and when it was roasted.
Coffee drinkers can also place orders online and get freshly roasted beans delivered right to their door.
Head roaster William Closson said that traceability to micro-roasting is important because once coffee is roasted it begins to lose its freshness rapidly.
"Coffee is as complex as wine. Unfortunately, most people are drinking coffee that has lost its flavor. If your serious about coffee there is nothing better than having it freshly roasted and exploring the differences that single origin coffees can offer," Closson added.
The company said that it is currently offering free local delivery with all online sales in the Patchogue, New York area with plans to expand the free local delivery program across Long Island.
