Diamond Foods plans to close its snack manufacturing plant in Indiana, US, a move which will lead to a loss of nearly 100 jobs.

The company, which produces Emerald snack nuts and Kettle Chips, gained ownership of the Indiana facility when it acquired Harmony Foods in 2006. The Indiana facility currently processes and packages snacks.

The US-based snack manufacturer noted that following the plant closure, its production will be shifted to its facility in Stockton, California.

Meanwhile, the company said that it will restate the financial results of second and third quarters of fiscal 2010, in addition to the restatement of the financial results for fiscal 2010 and 2011.

Earlier, it announced its plans to restate statements for fiscal years 2010 and 2011, all interim periods in fiscal 2011 and the fourth quarter of 2010.

Diamond Foods is in the process of restating its financial statements following an accounting scandal, which led to the termination of its deal to acquire Pringles potato chips brand and the suspension of leading executives.
