A summit on Mega Food Park - An Investment Destination is being organised by ministry of food processing industries (MoFPI), Government of India, along with ASSOCHAM on October 30, 2012, at Hotel Shivalik, Chandigarh.
The conference aims to create awareness among prospective investors in the food processing industry. In this regard, since the Mega Food Parks Scheme is being implemented by the government for providing momentum to the growth in the sector, the event will take a detailed look at it.
The discussion at the event would revolve around topics like handling and processing of fruits & vegetables, milk chilling and processing facilities, quality control labs, IQF facility, farmers' welfare centres and so on.
There will be two key presentations made by Srini Food Park Pvt. Ltd (Andhra Pradesh); Integrated Food Park Pvt. Ltd (Karnataka); and Small Industries Development Bank Of India (SIDBI).The speakers' list includes Rakesh Kacker, secretary, MoFPI, Government of India; and J P Meena, joint secretary, MoFPI, Government of India.
