Under the authority of the Pest Control Products Act, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has approved the addition of new uses on field peppers to the product label of Chateau Herbicide WDG, containing technical grade flumioxazin. The specific uses approved in Canada are detailed on the label of Chateau Herbicide WDG, Pest Control Products Act Registration Number 29231.
A corresponding maximum residue limit (MRL) was proposed in the consultation document published on 8 June 2012, Proposed Maximum Residue Limit PMRL2012-23, Flumioxazin. The PMRA received no comments in response to this consultation.
To comply with Canada's international trade obligations, consultation on the proposed MRL was also conducted internationally by notifying the World Trade Organization, as coordinated by the Standards Council of Canada. No comments were received as a result of the World Trade Organization consultation.
The following MRL takes legal effect in Canada as of the publication date of this document and is in addition to the MRLs already established for flumioxazin.
