Luen Heng (LHFB), a subsidiary of Carlsberg Malaysia, has acquired distribution rights for Grimbergen beer in East Malaysia.

LHFB, as a distributor, has officially released the beer at 21 Bistro in Kuching, East Malaysia.

LHFB with its established distribution channel in Malaysia, is expecting to create a market for Grimbergen beer.

Grimbergen brewed in Belgium during the middle ages, is a fermented ale type and has 6 to 6.7% alcohol content.

LHFB marketing manager Ricardo Loh was quoted by Borneo Post as saying that LHFB is planning to complement its existing portfolios of premium beer range in the market by introducing Grimgergen in Kuching.

The company is also planning to make available the beer at other outlets in East Malaysia.
