Recall:
Whole Alternatives, LLC announced today a voluntary recall of Harris Teeter Brand dried apricots and Harris Teeter Brand dried golden raisins. The dried fruits were recalled because the products contain undeclared sulfur dioxide. Sulfur dioxide is one of several types of sulfites used to preserve foods, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration requires that the presence of sulfur dioxide in foods be declared on the product label. Consumers who have a severe sensitivity to sulfur dioxide may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume either of these products.

Upon being informed of the recall, Harris Teeter removed the affected products from its shelves. Harris Teeter asks that customers who may have purchased the affected products and who may be sensitive to sulfur dioxide do not consume the products but rather return them to any Harris Teeter for a full refund.
