ABP Food Group is delighted to announce a significant expansion of its Petfood business.
ABP’s Pet Food Division, has signed a deal (subject to regulatory approval) to acquire the Arovit Petfood Group.
Headquartered in Denmark, Arovit is a major European Private Label Petfood producer with 5 production facilities in Spain, UK, Austria and Denmark.
It also operates two additional sales offices in Italy and Germany. Arovit’s product range of petfood is very similar to ABPs and includes cans, pouches, alutrays, dry food and some pet treats.
Arovit has a turnover of €200 million and employs 620 people.
This is very good news for ABP.
It follows the purchase of Nestle canning facilities in The Netherlands in 2010 and makes us ABP Food Group second largest Private Label Petfood producer in Europe.
