The recall was initiated by FSIS personnel during a routine label review. MSG is a sub-ingredient in the spice blend used to make the product.

The product subject to recall is 1lb and 2.5lb of Troll Smokehouse Fully Cooked Jalapeño Vienna packed in Cryovac bags. It was distributed to retail establishments in Michigan.

These packets bear the establishment number 'EST. 32015' inside the USDA mark of inspection and were produced between 18 October 2012 and 6 November 2012 with a sell by date of 12/17/12 through 01/03/12.

FSIS and the company have not received reports of injury linked to the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about injury have been advised to contact a healthcare provider.

This recall has been classified as Class III, which indicates a situation where the use of the product will not cause adverse health consequences.
