Smoothie and juice bar franchise Robeks plans to open the 12th store of Connecticut in Danbury, as part of strategy to strengthen its brand presence in the state.
Robeks, which opened Connecticut's first store in 2004, intends to accelerate its growth by adding more stores in Connecticut and expanding into Westchester County, New York.
Regional director Katrina Bickford said: "Connecticut has been a perfect home for Robeks. People here appreciate having a fast meal option that's very healthy."
The franchise has recently added a new kale smoothie - Tropi-KALE Paradise, an expanded fresh vegetable and fruit juice drinks, and Greek yogurt made smoothies to its menu.
The smoothies and juices use naturally ripened fruits and vegetables that retain nutrients and live enzymes and natural flavor, claims the company.
Robeks president and CEO Steve Davidson said: "Robeks offers a wide variety of healthy options whether you're an athlete using your diet to achieve peak performance, someone who appreciates a healthy alternative to the typical fast food meal, or you just want something delicious."
