UK-based Leventhorpe Vineyard has added a new sparkling rose wine - Leventhorpe Salmon Blush 2010 - to its portfolio of still and sparkling white wines.
The wine is a blend of Seyval Blanc, red Triomphe and Pinot Noir, which are sourced from the Leventhorpe's 2ha vineyard located in the city of Leeds. It possesses a creamy mousee of bubbles with smell of strawberry, brioche and biscuit and hints of apples and honey on the palate.
Leventhorpe Vineyard owner and winemaker George Bowden said they will celebrate their successful year with the pink sparkling wine.
"There's nothing like a lovely, delicate pink hue in a fizz to lift the spirits, and our sparkling pink will go wonderfully well with Christmas goodies, such as smoked salmon," Bowden added.
Leventhorpe Salmon Blush 2010 is available at a recommended retail price of £20-25.
