California-based Trinchero Family Estates (TFE) is all set to introduce a new wine - 2012 100% New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc - under the Echo Bay brand on 1 January 2013.
Marked as the first vintage from Echo Bay brand, the Sauvignon Blanc is made by TFE winemaker Nick Goldschmidt.
Sourced from the Marlborough appellation, the grapes used for the wine preparation are cold-fermented in stainless steel to withstand the smell and flavors. The wine possesses pungent and citrus smell with flavors of passion fruit, grapefruit and gooseberry.
TFE marketing senior vice president Dave Derby was quoted by WineBusiness.com as saying that the bright and vibrant style of Sauvignon Blanc is widely favored by consumers.
"Echo Bay is pure New Zealand, and we feel that it will resonate with the wine drinker that is searching for a small indulgence that they can relax and enjoy with friends," he added.
The Echo Bay 2012 100% New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc will retail at a suggested retail price of $12.99.
