Tri Marine has announced that Matt Owens has been appointed to the newly created position of environmental policy and social responsibility director.Owens will work in the company’s corporate headquarters in Bellevue, Wash.
Formerly working for non-profit FishWise, Owens will target sustainability and public policy issues to enhance the long-term reliability and integrity of Tri Marine’s supply chain solutions for its customers.
Matt comes to Tri Marine from Fish Wise a non-profit organization focused on building sustainable seafood programs for leading US retailers. His prior experience in the NGO community provides Tri Marine a unique perspective as the organization pursues sustainable fishing policies and social good.
