Core Tip: Icelandic Group has appointed Frank Tierenteyn as the managing director of Gadus.
Icelandic Group has appointed Frank Tierenteyn as the managing director of Gadus.

Icelandic acquired Belgian fish processing company Gadus in October of last year.

Tierenteyn has formerly served as director and general manager at La Bretagne Logistics and at fish farming, processing and sales company Pieters Group, now a part of Marine Harvest. Following the acquisition of Pieters Group by Fjord Seafood in 2000, he was appointed Executive Vice President of the Added Value division of Fjord Seafood. Between 2004 and 2011 Frank Tierenteyn served as CEO of Viangro Groupe SA, a meat processing company in Belgium.

“I am extremely excited that Mr. Frank Tierenteyn is joining Icelandic Group as the new managing director of Gadus. Frank has impressive experience in the seafood sector which bodes well for the future prospects of Gadus, and further strengthens the already solid management team at Icelandic Group,” said Magnús Bjarnason, Icelandic CEO.
