The company GreenWatt is specialised in designing, building and starting of small-scale organic gas installations. With that they have been nominated for the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award 2013. Stijn Verfaillie, Business Development Manager of GreenWatt mentioned that they as a company are very happy with this nomination.
"After winning the Prix Entreprises & Environnement on Pollutec 2012 our technology has again been selected for its innovative character. For us it is very important that this nomination comes from the German market this time, a market which traditionally swears by the 'classical' organic gas unit."
GreenWatt has been nominated with an organic gas installation on-site, in which organic waste is converted into energy. Small-scale cost saving installations suitable for processing companies, wholesale markets and packing companies. "We change a problem into a return. The problem is that more waste is produced all the time and higher energy prices, things which at present are of importance with the producer.
The installation of the organic gas installation can be at the production site. The advantage is that we can assist small-scale companies as well and a maximum return is achieved. We are of the opinion that companies should concentrate on their core business and should not worry about the waste problem."
"For the fruit and vegetable industry we have a number of projects at the moment, which are in the engineering phase. We will have a number of additional realizations in the market. GreenWatt is getting better known, although there is still 'room for improvement', but we are working hard on that. An example of this is to exhibit at the Fruit Logistica."
