Kellogg, Battle Creek, Michigan, the company founded on corn flakes and still best known for cereals, is expanding its presence in the frozen food category with rollouts under its Special K, Eggo and MorningStar Farms brands.

"Whether it is a mom looking for a tasty breakfast option for her kids, or someone seeking satisfying meals that meet specific nutrition goals, we understand what brings consumers to the frozen aisle."
Special K flatbread breakfast sandwiches contain between 180 and 240 calories and are available in three varieties: sausage, egg and cheese; ham, egg and pepper jack cheese; and egg with vegetables and pepper jack cheese.
Special K Red Berry waffles are low in fat and a good source of fiber. Eggo Drizzlers home-style waffles are packaged with blueberry or strawberry topping packets and contain less sugar than traditional syrup. MorningStar Farms Mediterranean Chickpea vegetarian burgers contain 110 calories and are made with chickpeas, garlic, red onion and spinach. The Special K breakfast sandwiches are available in stores nationwide. The other products will arrive during the first quarter.
