US-based G and E Partners has introduced a new technology Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) to produce pure drinking water from the air.

The company has introduced this technology, which is claimed to produce drinking water that is free of metal and chemicals, in its products AquaBoy and WaterPro series.

AquaBoy is capable of producing 3 gallons of water per day whereas WaterPro series has the capacity to generate 100 to 4000 gallons per day.

This new process is operated in four steps including generating water from the air, cleaning and purifying the air, dehumidifying the air and purifying water to the desirable standards.

The company claims that this technology is introduced to deal with problems including drought, disaster response and global water shortages in the future.

G and E Partners spokesperson Diana Potts said that this technology is solution for Global Water Shortage problems.

"This technology will allow us to make water out of air without touching the local water table."
