The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimate for this year's California Valencia orange crop is slightly down from last year's production.Last year's production was 27 million cartons, while the estimate in this season's Valencia Orange Objective Measurement report released last week is 25 million cartons. The report noted that cold winter temperatures are not likely to have negatively impacted fruit, and that it's likely this will be a normal crop year.
