Demitri’s Gourmet Mixes, a Washington-based company that produces Bloody Mary mixes, is to introduce a pair of margarita mixes - Demitri’s Margarita Mix - to meet the consumers’ demand for well-crafted and natural ingredients-based cocktails.Margarita is a tequila-based beverage with sweet and sour taste profile. It is one among the popular drinks in the US.
Demitri's Gourmet Mixes founder Demitri Pallis said the margarita mixes are made without any preservatives, gluten and high fructose corn syrup.
"There is nothing artificial of any kind and there are only five ingredients in our Traditional Margarita Mix," Pallis added.
The margarita mixes feature a concentrate of lime, cane sugar, filtered water and citric acid. They offer 65cal per 3oz serving.
Based on public demand for low calorie and carbohydrate drink, Demitri's is also offering its margarita mix in a low-calorie version sweetened with stevia and a hint of cane sugar. This drinks offers 38cal per 3oz serving.
Demitri's Margarita Mix will be available in 1l bottle format from 1 May 2013. Each 1l bottle can make around 10 cocktails.
