Post Holdings, Inc. announced it will move forward with plans to close its manufacturing facility in Modesto, Calif., to improve operational efficiency. The closing, which will affect 140 employees, is expected to be completed by September 2014.
The company said in March it would seek input from the union that represents the plant’s hourly employees before making a decision to close.
The plant produces ready-to-eat cereal and ready-to-eat cereal mixtures, according to the 2012 Directory & Buyers Guide from Sosland Publishing, Kansas City. Production is expected to move to other Post facilities.
