Core Tip: The Vietnamese Government has highlighted the need for stricter regulations on the safety of aquaculture and agricultural goods for export, as it is holding the country back in a competitive market.
A report from the government also stated that there are no regulations on how and when an epidemic should be announced, reports VNS.

It was noted that the chairman of a province or city where a single epidemic occured should be the one to announce it and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development should be in charge of multiple epidemics.

The use of pesticides is also something that was seen to require more management and control.

The law should also encourage scientific research and international co-operation in regards to epidemics threatening animals, plants and humans.
