Sidel, a France-based provider of PET solutions for liquid packaging, has introduced a new low-output integrated aseptic blow-fill-cap solution - Combi Predis / Capdis FMa - for beverage manufacturers.

This new low-output aseptic solution offers competitive PET packaging solutions for the beverage and dairy markets.

Combi Predis / Capdis FMa is based on the dry-preform and cap decontamination technology. It can accommodate high- and low-acid products packaged in all common bottle volumes ranging from 0.2l to 2l, with a capacity of up to 16,000 bottles per hour (bph).

The new low-output version enables the sterilization of all types of preforms and caps within an integrated blow-fill-cap solution.

It also provides 100% decontamination of the bottles and caps without the need for water and with very little chemicals by employing hydrogen peroxide mist. It also reduces annual costs by up to 30% compared to dry bottle decontamination.

Using this technology, beverage producers can produce bottles in any shape such as round and square as well as in small and large sizes.

It also enables beverage manufacturers to customize their bottles with a large range of caps from flat to sport caps.

This technology provides full tightness against microorganisms and ensures safety of the product, even for UHT milk.

Sidel aseptic product manager Guillaume Rolland said that this new solution can be used across various sectors including juices, nectars, teas and also liquid dairy products, such as UHT milk.

"It leverages our unrivalled innovation in aseptic dry-preform and cap technology, maintaining beverage quality and protecting liquid packaging from microorganisms," Rolland added.
