Aussie beef producers are expected to benefit from China's decision to accredit 28 cold stores and four red meat plants.
The step to improve meat storage facilities for shipping comes as Chinese imports of Australian beef continue to grow.
In 2011 Aussie beef imports surged 250 per cent to 27,300 tonnes and was worth $130 million.
The deal is expected to save exporters money by consolidating large loads of meat for shipping.
Trade Minister Craig Emerson said the deal cleared the way for the growing demand of Australian meat products in the country.
"China is a rapidly growing market for Australian beef producers," Dr Emerson said.
"This agreement creates game-changing efficiencies for beef processors around the country."
