Core Tip: Prices remained unchanged on almost all NSW wholesale prices this week, including beef, lamb and pork carcases.
Prices remained unchanged on almost all NSW wholesale prices this week, including beef, lamb and pork carcases.

Small lambs were the only grade to see a price hike, increasing by $1.50 to $2.00/kg cwt.

This increase can be partly attributed to the upcoming Greek Easter weekend, with large numbers having been purchased by butchers to fill orders.

Trade weight pigs were in good supply, keeping the butcher trade happy.

A good consistent supply of top-end trade weight grass fed cattle was also registered this week.
