Retailers across the country are promoting in-store tastings and giving out flowers this week in honor of Mother’s Day.While freebies for Mom seem like a good way to garner positive publicity, Whole Foods Market has received some Facebook flak for its Mom-O-Rama event taking place this Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. As many Facebook fans noted, the timing of the event excludes working moms. However, the retailer replied that individual stores will host events this weekend.
