Monk Fruit In The Raw Bakers Bag does not contain added table sugar, sugar alcohols or molasses and has no aftertaste.

In The Raw sweetener range is manufactured by US-based Cumberland Packaging. The other products of Cumberland's In The Raw include Sugar In The Raw, Stevia In The Raw and organic Agave In The Raw.

Cumberland Packing CEO Steven Eisenstadt said that the Monk Fruit In The Raw Bakers Bag answers a real demand for a great tasting, all-natural, zero-calorie sugar substitute that can be used for cooking and baking.

"Home cooks can easily modify their favorite recipes with the Monk Fruit In The Raw Bakers Bag, without doing tricky conversions, to get delicious results with a fraction of the sugar and calories," Eisenstadt added.

The new product will begin a national distribution roll-out in May, 2013 with a suggested retail price of $7.99. It comes in a pantry size bag, at 4.8oz.

Monk Fruit In The Raw is made with monk fruit, a vine-ripened fruit native to Asia. The packet product, which was launched in October 2012, had received positive response from consumers.
