UK-based food chain YoYo Noodle is planning to open about 200 outlets in India over the next five years with an investment of £25m.

The first of the planned outlets is expected to be opened in Mumbai, Maharashtra by the end of 2013.

YoYo Group partnered with India-based One Network Consulting to enter the country's quick service restaurant market under 'YoYo Noodle India' brand.

YoYo Group founder Eric Ho told PTI that the company is currently in the process of picking its key franchise partners, and claimed that the expansion will generate more than 2,000 jobs.

"With Chinese cuisine being so popular here, we are set for a great start. We are in the process of picking our key franchise partners and hope to have 200 stores in the next five years," Ho added.

The company is also mulling to set up its own unit to manufacture packaging and merchandise items.

"The plant will also help us make India the central hub globally for exporting sourcing and merchandise. We are aiming for 50 million pounds (over Rs 420 crore) revenues from here in the first five years," Ho concluded.
