Core Tip: Metrohm has presented two new application notes on the practical application of thermometric titration in the food industry.
Metrohm has presented two new application notes on the practical application of thermometric titration in the food industry. While the first one describes the determination of sodium for the manufacture of margarine, the second one describes the determination of sodium in soy milk.

The new application notes are:

AN-H-124 Determination of sodium for the manufacture of margarine
AN-H-125 Determination of sodium in soy milk

Thermometric titration is faster than potentiometry (less than 3 minutes), there is no maintenance of the sensor required, and one and the same sensor can be used for all titrations (acid/base, redox, EDTA, precipitation, non-aqueous). Moreover, the sensor does not even have to be calibrated and it is completely insensitive to agressive media.
