The total amount of edible liquid product from shell eggs broken during April was 231,720,000 lbs, up 2% from March and up 6% from April 2012, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in its latest Egg Products report.
April production of edible liquid whole eggs was 137,199,000 lbs, down 3% from March but up 8% from April 2012; liquid whites were 62,919,000 lbs, up 12% from March and up 4% from April 2012; liquid yolks were 31,602,000, up 9% from March and up 5% from April 2012.
Shell eggs broken in April were 178,497,000 dozen, up 2% from March and up 6% from April 2012.
