Coffee store chain Esquires Coffee has chalked out an extensive expansion plan in China and Turkey to open 200 outlets.

Esquires owners Stuart and Lewis Deeks also co-own Franchise Development, which holds the rights for more than 50 Esquire Coffee Houses around the world including in Asia, the Middle East and Britain.

The company claimed that a Yunnan province-based state-owned franchisee will launch nearly 150 outlets in China over the next three years, reported nzherald.co.nz.

Esquires currently operates 11 outlets in the country.

Stuart told the website that it is like having Auckland Council as your franchisee.

The coffee chain has also inked a letter of intent with a franchisee in Turkey to open 50 outlets.

Esquires, meanwhile, is also marking its debut in Kuwait market with the opening of first coffee house in the country during the week.

Besides store expansion, the company has recently signed an agreement with Cooks Food Group making it the global master franchisee for Esquires, excluding New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
