Core Tip: According to National Business Daily, Biostime together with multiple brands of imported milk powder enterprises were under anti-monopoly investigation conducted by NDRC.
Recently, the news that subsidiary of baby formula producer Biostime International Holdings Limited was conducted anti-monopoly investigation caused the domestic milk powder market's attention.

According to National Business Daily, Abbott, Mead Johnson, Nestle (including Wyeth)and Dumex are concluded in this anti-monopoly investigation list. Except Abbott, the other four brands have all confirmed the news.

Certain insiders believe that the antitrust investigation against foreign milk powder companies can not only warn the imported milk powder markets but also purify the domestic market. This investigation is good to both the domestic milk powder companies and raw material enterprises. However, the investment adviser of food industries Jane Epworth also worries that consumers’ confidence in domestic milk powder is still insufficient, if domestic milk powder enterprises growth by price advantage, they would be affected further by foreign milk powder companies.
