US-based rice firm Riviana Foods has expanded its Minute Rice range, with the introduction of three new products.
The three new products include Multi-Grain Medley, Ready to Serve Black Beans & Rice, and Ready to Serve Fried Rice Mix.
According to the company, Minute Multi-Grain Medley contains 100% whole grains such as brown rice, Thai red rice, wild rice and quinoa and has earned the seal of approval from the Whole Grain Council.
The new Black Beans & Rice and Fried Rice Mix are an addition to Minute Rice's portable and single-serve Ready to Serve Rice line.
Black Beans & Rice, a protein-packed solution that contains five grams of fiber per serving, is made with Latin-inspired beans and sauce including tomatoes, onions, green and red peppers, while the Ready to Serve Fried Rice Mix is a mix of rice, peas, carrots, onions, soy sauce and other seasonings.
Riviana Foods Marketing vice president Paul Galvani said the company is planning to offer an affordable twist on standby restaurant dishes and pantry staples with the newest Ready to Serve options and new Multi-Grain Medley.
"Not to mention, these products provide flavorful options to meet our consumers' dietary goals and evolving tastes," added Galvani.
Riviana Foods is a largest processor, marketer and distributor of branded and private label rice products in the US. Its principal brands include Minute, Success, Mahatma, Carolina, Comet, Adolphus, Blue Ribbon and Gourmet House.
