Dunkin' Brands, the operator of Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, plans to open 100 new franchise restaurants in the Middle East by 2018.
The company currently operates 296 Dunkin' Donut outlets across the region, in Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Baskin-Robbins recently opened its 650th store in the Middle East, and operates in Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Yemen.
Dunkin' Brands chairman and CEO Nigel Travis told Arabian Business that the Middle East is one of the company's fastest growing regions.
"In terms of expansion, the company expects to open between 75 and 100 new outlets across the two brands over the next two to five years," Travis added.
"We have a lot of interest in the Middle East... We will be going into a new country soon this year."
