La Fee, a UK-based spirits maker, has collaborated with French Absinthe Museum founder and curator Marie-Claude Delahaye to release its new spirit La Fee Absinthe Parisienne.
La Fée claims to be the first international brand to distill classic, all-natural Verte and Blanche Absinthe Superieure, which will be added to the brand's established Extra Superieure [XS] range.
Brainchild of Delahaye and La Fee founder George Rowley, the Parisienne is made from 100% natural ingredients to enhance the herbal character of the spirit. Some of the ingredients used in its making include Grand wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium), fennel, coriander and hyssop.
The new Absinthe Parisienne is currently undergoing testing with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and will be shipped to La Fée's New Jersey bond - Western Carriers - later in 2013, alongside La Fée Absinthe Blanche.
To launch the spirit, the company has introduced a new bottle, which features a newly designed heavy weight label, a QR code linking through to La Fee's website and is coated with a special UV inhibitor to protect the liquid against sunlight.
Delahaye said La Fee Absinthe Parisienne is a good example of an all-natural absinthe and he is delighted that La Fee will be offering the international market the new recipe.
Rowley said they are pleased to have evolved Parisienne to the next level - a standard they would like to see across the premium absinthe category - and developed a UV protective bottle to protect the fragile spirit.
"The newly refined Parisienne means we now offer four absinthes made with 100% natural ingredients," Rowley added.
