The Emirates Industry for Camel Milk & Products (EICMP), a Dubai-based camel milk and milk products company, has exported its first run of camel milk products including camel milk powder, fresh milk and camel whey powder to various nations across the European Union (EU).
The Emirate of Dubai has received EU permission to export camel milk and camel milk products to the EU in March 2013, following a five-year-long process issuing and amending regulations and guidelines to comply with those of the EU Commission.
Initially Camelicious, a brand of camel milk products of the company, is shipped to its business partners in the Netherlands and Denmark.
EICMP deputy general manager & business development manager Mutasher Al-Badry said: "We would like to thank all parties involved in this effort to see Dubai and our brand 'Camelicious' find its rank amongst global exporters."
The company is working on establishing business ties with European companies to explore additional fields of usage for camel milk by concentrating on the B2B market in Europe.
Potential partner companies are already conducting experiments using the samples of exported camel milk and whey powder through its partner companies as well as for camel milk powder instantization.
Pharmaceutical, cosmetic, sport and nutritional supplements are the next target markets of the company.
Al Nassma Chocolate, a sister company of EICMP, will deliver the first container export of Camelicious camel milk powder to Austria to manufacture camel milk chocolate.
