International Beverage USA, the international arm of Asian alcoholic beverage giant ThaiBev, has introduced BlackMask Spiced Pacific Rum in the US with initial market being the Southern California.
Made with oak-aged premium rums and blended with mellow Pacific Island spices and natural flavors, the BlackMask rum is golden amber in color with vanilla notes, tones of cinnamon and nutmeg and smooth smoky toffee finish.
The BlackMask rum can be consumed on the rocks or can be used to make cocktails like The Unknown Idol and Rhumsfeld's Painkiller.
International Beverage USA president Patrick Graney said spiced rum is a hot category right now, making BlackMask an exciting addition to their US portfolio.
"It's also the first rum brand to have a Chai offering, which is a flavor consumers demand," Graney added.
"We think it will resonate with the target market as a fun brand with a big personality and a bit of adventure."
BlackMask is available at specialty retailers in Southern California such as Hi-Time Wine Cellars, Emilio's Beverage Warehouse and Total Wine & More at a suggested retail price of $13.99 per bottle.
The original spiced rum will be joined by three new flavor extensions - Island Coconut, Tropical Chai and Black Premo - in the future.
