After more than three months of renovations and €2 million of investment, Eroski has reopened its hypermarket in the Garbera mall in San Sebastián.
According to Eroski, the aim of the project was to 'foster a new shopping concept entrenched in the values that guide consumer behavior today', with healthy eating, a commitment to fresh and local products and a personalized service all to the fore in the revamped store.
The relationship with the customer is the top priority of the new store model, with the reoriented focus coming as 'a response to a society transformed by a long economic crisis', according to Eroski.
The new store has a strong fresh focus, with its fresh fruit and vegetable section offering custom-made juices and fruit salads, as well as local produce. The Garbera outlet will also feature some 1000 organic products as well as a specialist section for gluten and lactose intolerant customers. The focus on wellbeing is carried further with an extended pharmacy and perfumery area, with trained staff on hand to advise customers.
