Growing genetically-modified crops in Europe is not a priority for Monsanto Company.

Jose Manuel Madero, Monsanto's president and managing director for Europe, told Reuters the agricultural biotechnology giant plans to withdraw all pending requests to grow new types of genetically-modified crops.
