Fine Wine & Good Spirits, a chain of stores operated by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), has posted revenues of $2.17bn in the fiscal year (FY) 2012-13, up $93m or 4.5%, against the revenues of FY 2011-12.
Net income for the FY 2012-13 was $128.4m, a $24.9m or 24% increase over FY 2011-12 figures.
The increase in net income was the result of sales growth and operational expense control.
Fine Wine & Good Spirits saw 6% growth in the retail wine sales, which was driven by the Chairman's Selection program, whereas the retail spirits sales was up by 3.7%, compared to previous year figures.
In total, the agency has contributed over $550m to state and local entities, which is $21m more than the previous year contribution.
Established in 1933, the PLCB operates more than 600 Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores and regulates the distribution of alcoholic beverages.
