Dulce Vida Spirits, a Texas-based distillery, has signed a deal with Wine Warehouse to expand the distribution of its certified USDA organic 100 proof tequila across California.

Made from only 100% organic agave sourced from the Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico, the tequila is free of any additives.

Dulce Vida Spirits sales and marketing director Chris Cain said as an artisan distiller of handcrafted tequilas, they are pleased to be entering the great state of California.

"Wine Warehouse has a dedicated team truly focused on building craft brands, making this partnership ideal for our entry into the Golden State," Cain added.

Wine Warehouse chief operating officer Greg Akins said they are excited to have Dulce Vida Organic Tequila join their portfolio as the growing brand offers several unique distinctions including organics, kosher certification, and a 100 Proof value, all in award winning packaging.

"The California market values product attributes that offer contrast in an increasingly competitive space. With a focus on boutique brands, we seek to align with products such as Dulce Vida that enhance experiences for our customers," Akins added.

Dulce Vida Spirits CEO and founder Richard Sorenson said Dulce Vida's California launch is a strategic step for their company with the knowledge that they have waited to address this key market when the time was just right and the ideal partner in Wine Warehouse was found.

"Since starting distribution in our Texas backyard back in 2009, we've thoughtfully expanded, staying true to our heritage as a small-batch, handcrafted spirit. An extremely important aspect of our brand remains expanding properly and strategically," Sorenson added.
