afoods’ Chilean cooked mussels and mussel meat, sold under the Foods From the Sea brand, have received Friend of the Sea chain of custody certification, the company announced today.The products, which include Whole Black Cooked Chilean Mussels and 1 and 2-pound bags, and IQF Cooked Mussel Meat in a 1-pound bag, will all now carry the Friend of the Sea Ecolabel, certifying that the mussels were produced using sustainable, environmentally-friendly methods.
Stavis CEO Richard Stavis said the company caters to customers who want to make more sustainable food choices.
